Recently, the 2026 THE World University Rankings were officially released! This year's rankings set a new historical record, featuring 2,191 universities from 115 countries and regions worldwide.

U.S. Universities Lead the World
In this ranking, U.S. universities performed strongly, with 35 institutions entering the global Top 100, occupying more than one-third of the spots. This once again confirms the profound foundation and global influence of the U.S. education system.
Among them, 7 prestigious U.S. universities are ranked in the global top ten:
• Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) maintained its stellar performance from last year, ranking 2nd in the world and continuing to hold the top spot among U.S. universities;
• Princeton University rose in the rankings, tying with the University of Cambridge for 3rd place globally, marking the best result in the school's history;
• Harvard University and Stanford University are tied for 5th place;
• California Institute of Technology, University of California, Berkeley, and Yale University also performed exceptionally well.

Ranking Criteria
To continuously reflect the current and future teaching and research achievements of research-intensive universities around the world, the performance indicators for the THE World University Rankings remain the same as last year, with 18 indicators divided into 5 areas: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook.

The Four Major World Rankings Conclude
U.S. Educational Strength Remains at the Peak
The United States has long maintained a world-leading position in scientific research innovation, educational investment, academic freedom, and international influence. Whether in basic scientific research or technological innovation, U.S. universities play a core role in driving global development.
In this year's four major world university rankings (THE, QS, U.S. News, and ARWU): prestigious schools such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Princeton remain at the forefront; multiple institutions within the University of California system have entered the global top 100; and the overall U.S. scientific research output and academic influence continue to rank first in the world.
This once again confirms: U.S. education remains the gold standard of global higher education.
U.S. Education Is Strong,
But the Path to Staying in the U.S. Is Increasingly Difficult
Strong educational strength makes the United States a dream destination for students worldwide. However, while the popularity of studying abroad continues to rise, the reality is becoming increasingly severe: "It is easy to go to the U.S. to study, but difficult to stay and develop."
In recent years, multiple tightening measures by the U.S. government regarding education, visas, and employment policies have left international students facing unprecedented challenges: H-1B work visa application fees have skyrocketed to $100,000, and the selection system is shifting from a "random lottery" to a "wage-weighted" system; F-1 student visas will be changed to fixed terms; and OPT internship programs are facing the risk of being reduced or even cancelled...
It can be said that the "glamour" of U.S. education remains bright, but the road to the future is becoming more rugged. For families who hope their children can not only "go to study" but also "stay and develop well," relying solely on studying abroad is no longer enough to cope with future uncertainties.
More and more families are beginning to realize:
True educational planning is not just about choosing which prestigious school,
But about planning a status for the child in advance that allows for free learning and secure development.
When children possess U.S. status, they are no longer constrained by visa quotas or limited by post-graduation status restrictions, allowing them to focus more on their studies and the realization of their ideals.
Currently, one can lay out their status in advance through EB-5 investment immigration. When applying for prestigious schools, children can enjoy the same opportunities as local students, and after graduation, they can freely intern, work, start businesses, and even participate in public affairs and research projects, truly integrating into American society.

It is worth noting that the EB-5 grandfathering provision has entered its final year countdown (expiring September 30, 2026). Applications submitted before this date will be protected by current policies. Opportunities are fleeting; the earlier you submit, the more secure you are!

In addition, the "Trump Gold Card Immigration Program," launched globally by the Worldway Group in collaboration with two top U.S. law firms, is also a new pathway for high-net-worth individuals to immigrate to the United States. Worldway has opened the pre-sale channel for the Trump "Gold Card Immigration" program. Register now to submit ahead of others. Once the program launches, we will help you secure your submission quota first, putting you one step ahead in obtaining a U.S. Green Card in the future.
