Dr. Winner Xing, President of Worldway Group, shakes hands with former New York Governor David Paterson
David Paterson was sworn in as Governor of New York in 2008 in Albany, the state capital, and enjoys a high reputation in American politics. David Paterson has been "legally blind" since childhood, with almost complete loss of vision. However, this did not hinder his political career, leading him to become the first African American Governor of New York and the second "blind governor" in U.S. history.
Mr. David Paterson is also an old friend of Worldway Group. He has been actively promoting the development of the U.S. EB-5 policy and once specifically urged the Bush administration to further improve the implementation of the EB-5 Act. Mr. David Paterson has continued to pay attention to the development of the EB-5 Act after leaving office. In 2011, when he stepped down, Dr. Winner Xing, President of Worldway Group, visited Mr. David Paterson in New York to conduct an in-depth discussion on the development prospects of the EB-5 policy in both China and the United States.
Two years later, Mr. David Paterson made a special trip to Worldway's Shenzhen office to visit Dr. Winner Xing, President of Worldway Group, and Ms. Cathy Hu, General Manager of Worldway's Shenzhen office. During the meeting, Mr. David Paterson expressed his full affirmation of the tremendous achievements made by Worldway Group, led by Dr. Winner Xing, in the field of U.S. investment immigration, and stated that he would continue to support Worldway's development in the EB-5 sector as always. At the same time, he also expressed an optimistic attitude toward the prospects of EB-5, believing that the act will sooner or later become a permanent U.S. law.
