Recently, the U.S. Department of State updated the Visa Bulletin for March 2026 (the 6th month of the 2026 fiscal year). For the EB-5 investment immigration program, which is of great interest to investors, this bulletin brings important changes: Chart B under the legacy act has advanced by 40 days, while reserved visas under the new act remain in a “current” status. Additionally, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has confirmed that Chart B is open for use in March!
Worldway Group provides you with an immediate interpretation of the core of the announcement, helping you precisely grasp policy dividends!

EB-5 Investment Immigration:
Analysis of New and Legacy Act Developments
Under the Legacy Act
(Non-Reserved Visas) Chart B Advances 40 Days
Chart A (Final Action Date): August 15, 2016 (No change from last month).
Chart B (Date for Filing): October 1, 2016 (Advanced 40 days).
This month, the EB-5 legacy act Chart A remains stagnant, but Chart B has advanced by 40 days, which is good news for investors with a priority date before October 1, 2016. In conjunction with the official USCIS announcement that Chart B is open, eligible investors can immediately begin preparing I-485 filing materials to lock in the benefits of legal status adjustment in the United States.
Under the New Act
(Reserved Visas) Remain Current
Reserved Visa Categories (Rural Projects, High Unemployment Area Projects, Infrastructure Projects): Currently no backlog.
The three categories of reserved visas under the new act remain in “C” (Current) status, which is the current “golden fast track” for immigrating to the United States. International students or work visa holders currently in the U.S. can file their I-485 concurrently with their new act I-526E application, quickly obtain a Combo card, and use the concurrent filing benefit to resolve anxiety regarding their stay in the U.S.

EB-1 Accelerates, Opportunities Not to Be Missed
In addition to EB-5, there is also good news this month for the EB-1 category of employment-based immigration.
According to the bulletin, EB-1 Chart A: March 1, 2023 (Advanced 28 days); Chart B: December 1, 2023 (Significant advance of 122 days)! For EB-1A extraordinary ability immigration applicants currently in the backlog, this is a “status adjustment” window not to be missed.
March 2026 Chart B Open
USCIS has also announced: Chart B is open in March, which means eligible applicants (priority date earlier than the Chart B date and currently in the U.S.) can submit an I-485 application to adjust status.

Important Reminder:
The New Policy's No-Backlog Dividend is Fleeting
Seize the Current Golden Window for U.S. Immigration
According to the newly released March 2026 Visa Bulletin, EB-5 visa reserved categories for investors born in mainland China remain in a no-backlog status. However, it should be noted that as the number of applicants continues to increase, the reserved visa quota may also face pressure. Once a backlog appears, the current advantage of the “concurrent filing” fast track will no longer exist, and the application pace and waiting time will change fundamentally.

Worldway reminds you that the precious immigration window is fleeting. The battle for reserved visa quotas has entered a critical stage. The opening time of Chart B and the no-backlog status may be dynamically adjusted with quota consumption, and the “Grandfather Clause” window is also counting down (expires September 30, 2026). It is recommended that eligible applicants seize the current opportunity, evaluate as soon as possible, and start as soon as possible to avoid missing the best application timing!

Worldway holds two high-quality EB-5 rural projects, helping investors achieve their U.S. status planning steadily, without backlogs, and efficiently. Global quotas are limited, seats are scarce, first come, first served!
