Cyprus Defense Minister Fotis Fotiou and Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus Liu Xinshe attended the welcoming ceremony at the dock. Fotiou stated that the Cypriot side is willing to support the Chinese naval vessel in executing the escort mission for Syrian chemical weapons.
