Follow Greek immigration and Greek education: According to a recent report on the EU website, under the recently passed Greek Law No. 4142, the Greek government has approved the establishment of an independent administrative department called the "Authority for Quality Assurance in Primary and Secondary Education," whose primary task is to ensure the quality of primary and secondary education. Specifically, its mission is to be responsible for supervising, reviewing, and evaluating the educational policies formulated and implemented by the Educational Policy Committee, as well as evaluating the educational work of schools and the work of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports and its subordinate departments. Furthermore, the department will supervise the evaluation process implemented for primary and secondary school teachers and assess the evaluation systems concerning educational work and teachers to identify loopholes and methods for improvement. At the same time, to ensure the reliability of the evaluation, the department is also responsible for setting evaluation indicators with reference to international standards, formulating, organizing, and standardizing evaluation procedures, and publishing evaluation procedures in advance.

Greece hopes to achieve the following effects through the establishment of this department: to evaluate the quality level of educational work; to identify the strengths and weaknesses of educational work, and to propose and implement necessary improvement measures; to determine priority directions for improvement actions and regulation; and to formulate national strategic plans based on empirical research to improve the overall functionality, efficiency, and quality of the education system.
