On January 10, the handover ceremony for the project providing teaching equipment to the Vanuatu Institute of Technology (VIT) supported by Japan was held in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu. The project aid amounted to 70,000 USD.

In addition, under the "Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects," the Japanese government has signed an agreement with the government of Vanuatu to provide approximately 230,000 USD in aid to improve basic facilities such as primary education school buildings.
