Worldway Immigration Group has just learned that the U.S. Department of State's Visa Office has released the EB-5 visa bulletin for April 2016. Although the Final Action Date (FAD) has advanced by ten days, Worldway's U.S. immigration experts continue to remind investors: given the current severe backlog, speed is essential when immigrating to the U.S. Apply early to avoid the peak application period.
Final Action Date (FAD):

From the Final Action Date in the table above, the cut-off date for EB-5 visa applicants from mainland China is February 1, 2014, which is 10 days ahead of the previous date of January 22.
Impact on EB-5 Investment Applicants:
If your priority date is before February 1, 2014, and your I-526 petition has been approved, you may proceed with your interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou or file an I-485 application within the United States to receive your visa or Green Card immediately;
[Worldway Interpretation] Although the U.S. investment immigration program has been successfully extended, as of last October, there was a backlog of 17,367 applications at USCIS. As of March this year, it is conservatively estimated that nearly 20,000 applications are currently backlogged. The principle that "it is better to immigrate sooner rather than later" remains true; applying early helps avoid peak periods. More importantly, legislative changes and potential price increases for the U.S. EB-5 program remain inevitable. In particular, potential restrictions on metropolitan areas may become a basic consensus for new legislation. Therefore, investors need to plan early, accelerate their immigration process, and quickly invest in high-quality EB-5 projects around major metropolitan areas that have already been approved and are not affected by TEA reforms.
Worldway Immigration Group, a leading institution in U.S. investment immigration, is currently the sole chief agent for three major high-quality projects—the DLJ Four Seasons Hotel and Resort project (a successfully approved project with investment and repayment from the 100-billion-dollar real estate fund DLJ) and the 90 Columbus Apartment project (a rare Manhattan concept apartment project with a full set of I-526 documents already receiving exemplar approval). These projects meet the latest standards and requirements of the new EB-5 legislation regarding the definition and classification of TEAs. Even if policy changes occur, they will not be affected by price increases or TEA reforms. In addition, these three projects also possess numerous advantages, such as strong developer backing, sufficient job creation, low investment and repayment risks, and sound exit mechanisms.
