This is Ms. Biguzs's first visit to China since her appointment as Deputy Minister of Citizenship and Immigration of Canada. Ms. Biguzs introduced the latest reforms and explorations in the Canadian immigration system and expressed hope for more cooperation with the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs in the future to strengthen the bilateral partnership between China and Canada.
Director Zhang Jianguo expressed the hope to establish a high-level mutual visit mechanism with the Canadian Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration to learn from and draw on Canada's advanced experience in talent introduction, especially hoping to address issues related to the entry, residence, and employment of high-tech and innovative talents by referencing Canada's immigration point system.
Deputy Director Liu Yanguo of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Director Gao Xiang of the Policy and Regulation Department, and Deputy Directors Xu Haoqing and Wang Xiangrong, among others, attended the meeting.
