Recently, the highly anticipated 2024 World University Rankings were released by QS, a prominent higher education research organization. The United States continues to perform exceptionally well, with 10 universities from the U.S. in the top 20 and 27 universities in the top 100. Among them, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has ranked first in the world for 12 consecutive years; Harvard University is ranked 4th; Stanford University is ranked 5th; and the University of California, Berkeley is ranked 10th.
This ranking covers 1,500 universities from 104 higher education systems, and the rankings are based on an analysis of over 17.5 million academic papers and professional opinions from more than 240,000 scholars and employers.
To adapt to the changes in the global higher education landscape, this year's QS World University assessment criteria have undergone new changes, adding three new indicators (international research network, employment outcomes, sustainability) in addition to the six basic indicators, and adjusting the weights accordingly.
The ranking indicators for this year are as follows:
Academic reputation: 30%, decreased by 10%
Employer reputation: 15%, increased by 5%
Faculty citations per paper: 20%, no change
Student-to-faculty ratio: 10%, decreased by 10%
International faculty ratio: 5%, no change
International student ratio: 5%, no change
International research network: 5%, new indicator
Employment outcomes: 5%, new indicator
Sustainability: 5%, new indicator
U.S. universities continue to dominate the rankings, which underscores the strong educational prowess of the United States. It is well-known that the educational standards in the U.S. have always been praised worldwide, particularly in higher education, where it stands as a global leader. This is also reflected in various well-known rankings such as the U.S. News & World Report World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and ARWU World University Academic Rankings, demonstrating the undeniable strength of U.S. universities.
The education of children has always been a focal point for every family. Of course, each world university ranking has different evaluation criteria and focuses on different aspects, but regardless of which ranking is considered, the number of U.S. universities listed has consistently remained high, repeatedly confirming the world-leading position of U.S. education.
Today, "educational planning and identity first" has become an important option for many parents when planning their children's future growth! The United States, with its rich educational resources, comprehensive educational system, and advanced educational concepts, attracts countless Chinese families and students. A U.S. green card provides children with more choices. Having an "identity" not only affects tuition costs, scholarship applications, and student loans, but also plays a crucial role in future employment opportunities and admission chances to prestigious schools, allowing students to enjoy the hidden benefits that come with "green card status."
In summary, green card status plays a significant role in children's school selection, internships, job searches, and other aspects. Currently, the EB-5 investment immigration program in the United States is an effective way to quickly obtain a U.S. green card. The application conditions are lenient, with no restrictions on age, education, language, business, or work experience. One application allows the entire family to immigrate to the U.S., where they can live and work anywhere in the country, and children can enjoy free public education (K-12). Spouses and unmarried children under 21 can also immigrate together.
Currently, the Florida Jewish Community EB-5 project, exclusively represented by WorldWay Immigration in the Greater China region, is a preferred option for investors seeking rapid immigration to the United States. This project complies with the new law's rural TEA project requirements, not only enjoying reserved EB-5 visa quotas but also receiving priority processing from the immigration bureau, combining advantages such as no waiting period, a project employment multiplier of up to 5.44, and first-priority mortgage guarantees for EB-5 funds!
Immigration has two key elements—timing and choice! The Florida Jewish Community EB-5 project is currently in high demand, with limited project quotas available, and interested investors should seize the opportunity.
