In January 2023, Hong Kong adjusted the approval process for the quality talent scheme. After applicants receive selection quotas, principle approval letters will no longer be issued; instead, notifications will be sent via email to inform them of the selected quota, eliminating interviews and verification of original documents, greatly improving approval efficiency, and the requirement for a clean criminal record has also been removed. A large number of clients of Worldway under the Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme have received email notifications confirming their selection quotas. Worldway has already assisted numerous clients in submitting their applications and believes that more good news regarding approvals for clients will follow.
It is well known that Hong Kong is a highly prosperous free port and international metropolis, ranking as the third largest financial center in the world. It serves as a critical hub for international finance, trade, shipping, and innovation technology, and is also one of the most free economies and competitive cities globally. Simultaneously, as an international metropolis with rich educational resources, Hong Kong attracts countless students seeking to attend world-renowned educational institutions and gain an international perspective. Hong Kong has always been a favored destination for many individuals seeking to migrate.
The Hong Kong Quality Talent Admission Scheme is significantly attracting talents from Mainland China, marking what can be called a golden period for applying for the scheme. Currently, foreign nationals can obtain Hong Kong residency through the Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme without needing to make any monetary investment or secure a local employer's prior employment. After arriving in Hong Kong, they can freely choose their jobs and settle; one person can apply and the entire family can get approved quickly, providing multiple advantages!
As one of the convenient pathways to quickly obtain Hong Kong residency, the Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme has been well-received by immigration applicants since its launch in 2006. Its quota has increased from 1,000 to 2,000, then to 4,000. On October 19, 2022, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee, pointed out in the 2022 Policy Address that starting from January 1, 2023, the annual quota for the "Quality Talent Admission Scheme" will be removed for two years, while the approval process will be optimized to attract more world-class talents to Hong Kong.
Worldway advises individuals wishing to apply for Hong Kong residency to seize the opportunity to submit their applications and take advantage of the current golden period!
