The Montenegro North-South Highway project is approximately 180 kilometers long, connecting the southern port city of Bar with the northern city of Boljare, and serves as an important passage for Montenegro to access the European mainland. The Chinese company is responsible for the construction of its priority section—from Smokovac to Mateševo—spanning about 41 kilometers, which is the most challenging segment of the entire project.
The opening ceremony of the priority section of the Montenegro North-South Highway was held on Montenegro's National Day.
