Authoritative Interpretation
Immigration experts from Worldway Group indicate that the submission periods for the Ireland Investment Residence Program (IIP) in 2019 will have the following major changes:
1. The number of submission periods for the IIP in 2019 will be reduced from 5 times in 2018 to 4 times.
2. The duration of each submission period for the IIP in 2019 will be shortened from two weeks in 2018 to 5 days.
3. An independent review of the IIP will also begin in the first quarter of 2019, and the revised IIP legislation based on the review results will be published by February 8, 2019. All applications in 2019 must comply with the updated legislative requirements.
4. During this period, the Irish Department of Justice will also strengthen due diligence and review processes for the IIP, including anti-money laundering measures.

The saying "immigrants should act early" may seem clichéd, but in the face of rapidly changing immigration policies, it is not an exaggeration at all. On one hand, given the increasingly strict regulations on the IIP, the submission period has been shortened to 5 days; on the other hand, according to the latest regulations from the UK government, after the official Brexit, Irish citizens can reside, study, and work in the UK without applying. It is foreseeable that as the only bridge connecting the European Union and the UK, having Irish citizenship will provide significant advantages, and the number of immigration applications to Ireland may continue to increase. Therefore, it is advisable for applicants intending to immigrate to Ireland to start preparing the complete set of application materials as early as possible; early application leads to early benefits.
Currently, through investment in government-approved donation projects in Ireland, a donation of €500,000 (with a group donation discount to €400,000) allows the entire family to apply for Irish residence status.
Advantages of Immigrating to Ireland:
1. As an EU member state, after obtaining citizenship through immigration to Ireland, the applicant's entire family can become EU citizens, enjoying global visa-free travel convenience and the freedom to reside in 28 EU countries;
2. Ireland's economy is significantly accelerating, being a highly livable "Emerald Isle" with a low corporate tax rate of 12.5%, making it very suitable for business, residence, and living;
3. Ireland has high-quality educational resources. In the 2017 IMD World Competitiveness Ranking, Ireland's education system ranked seventh in the world. The government provides free primary and secondary education to residents of Ireland, and children of eligible age who obtain a Stamp 4 visa through investment immigration can enjoy this benefit.
