Another extension of the EB-5 program is essentially confirmed. As the Republican Party is currently focused on tax reform and lacks the time to address the budget and debt ceiling issues, the budget will continue to be extended, and the EB-5 Regional Center Program will once again be attached to it for an unconditional extension. However, this extension is expected to be a short-term one of 6-8 weeks, meaning the EB-5 program will be extended until around late January or early February 2018.
This means that after December 8, investors will once again have a 6-8 week "policy window" during which they can still invest in the United States at the low price of $500,000.
