With the start of the China-Canada Golden Decade, relations between Canada and China have become increasingly friendly. 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of the founding of Canada, and good news for China from Canada has been arriving one after another. Recently, the Canadian government has provided another benefit for China—starting from March 20, 2017, holders of Chinese passports no longer need to queue when entering Canada.
Ralph Goodale, Canada's Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, announced that starting March 20, 2017, Primary Inspection Kiosks will be launched first at the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. Subsequently, they will be further promoted to international airports in other Canadian cities, such as Toronto and Vancouver, later this year.
This also means that those holding Chinese passports can now enter Canada without queuing and can clear customs via self-service.
International students and Chinese tourists will no longer need to be exhausted from dragging their luggage, waiting in long lines, and anxiously waiting for questioning by customs officers after getting off the plane!
So, how do you use these self-service customs kiosks?
It is actually very simple. You only need a smartphone or tablet, download the official app on your device, fill in your personal information according to the requirements and steps, and after your identity is verified, scan the QR code. Once you arrive at the airport, you just need to walk to the self-service customs kiosk and scan the QR code on your phone along with your travel documents, and the system will automatically display your electronic customs declaration form.

In recent years, the Canadian government has continuously released a series of major benefits for Chinese passports. In addition to the convenience brought by the 10-year visa, it was also confirmed last year that visa application centers will be added in seven cities: Chengdu, Hangzhou, Jinan, Kunming, Nanjing, Shenyang, and Wuhan.
Furthermore, when Prime Minister Trudeau visited China last year, in addition to signing 56 new commercial contracts and agreements, attracting Chinese tourists was also set as a key initiative for the Canadian government.
With the increase in Chinese visa application centers, the China-Canada Golden Decade, and the launch of the China-Canada Year of Tourism, the ties between China and Canada have become closer. Whether in areas such as overseas business, studying in Canada, transnational tourism, or Canadian immigration and investment, great opportunities have emerged.
Canada's beautiful scenery, livable environment, relaxed immigration policies, and high-quality education system are attracting the attention of immigrants from all over the world. Many high-net-worth individuals in China choose to allocate overseas assets through investment immigration, which not only allows them to obtain overseas status but also provides a better education and development platform for their children. Taking advantage of the Canadian dollar being at a historical low, now is the perfect time for investment immigration to Canada! For inquiries, please call: 400-138-2929
