Since March 1, 2017, the Portuguese Immigration Bureau has implemented new standards for the collection of golden residence application fees.
Primary applicant application fee: 520.40 euros / person
Dependent applicant application fee: 81.10 euros / person
Initial issuance fee for one-year golden residence card: 5202.60 euros / person
Renewal fee for two-year golden residence card: 2601.30 euros / person
Note: The card issuance fee is the same for both primary and dependent applicants.
The previous fee standards were as follows:
Primary applicant application fee: 517.40 euros / person
Dependent applicant application fee: 80.60 euros / person
Initial issuance fee for one-year golden residence card: 5173.60 euros / person
Renewal fee for two-year golden residence card: 2586.80 euros / person
Note: The card issuance fee is the same for both primary and dependent applicants.
By comparing the fee standards before and after the change, it can be seen that the adjustment is minimal and will not significantly impact applicants. Please note that from the date of the change, all applicants submitting applications or receiving approvals must pay the corresponding fees according to the latest standards.
Today, as China's economy increasingly integrates into the global economy, the international perspective of Chinese investors and entrepreneurs is also being enhanced and expanded. In line with the trend of economic development, Chinese investors and entrepreneurs are paying more attention to an international lifestyle. Portugal, with its relaxed immigration policies, has become one of the preferred destinations for high-net-worth individuals to establish a second home abroad. Investors only need to purchase real estate or agricultural property worth over 500,000 euros in Portugal to obtain golden residence status for the entire family at once, enjoying the same benefits in healthcare and education as Portuguese citizens. Children applying to universities in various EU countries can also benefit from the most-favored-nation treatment within the EU. Experts from WorldWay Immigration remind everyone: immigration should be pursued early, as investment immigration policies may change at any time.
