Portugal implements a 12-year compulsory education system, and all public schools are free. This includes basic education (4 years of primary school, 2 years of preparatory middle school, 3 years of middle school) and secondary education (3 years, equivalent to high school in China). As long as an investor invests no less than 500,000 Euros in property in Portugal, the investor can apply for the "Portugal Golden Residence Permit," and their children will enjoy 12 years of free compulsory education in Portugal.
