Immigrate to Hong Kong focuses on Hong Kong's immigration economy: The Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Paul Chan, stated today that Hong Kong is the shipping center of the Asia-Pacific region, possessing a developed maritime and air transport and logistics network, along with international advantages in professional services such as trade and finance, making Hong Kong well-positioned to become a regional hub for the Belt and Road Initiative.
One of the key focuses of the Belt and Road Initiative is to strengthen infrastructure connectivity among the regions along the route, and the improvement of infrastructure will promote the development of trade. In this regard, Hong Kong's vast WorldWay and connections, as well as its exhibition and business matching services, are very suitable as a platform for promoting trade logistics.
The government will intensify its efforts, internally, to work closely with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council by establishing an online database for the Belt and Road Initiative, organizing forums and seminars, and timely arranging business delegations to assist the industry in grasping the developments of the Belt and Road Initiative; externally, it will continue to strengthen connections and establish mutually beneficial institutional guarantees for bilateral trade, investment, and tax arrangements with Belt and Road countries, and promote Hong Kong's competitive advantages.
With the economic development driven by the Belt and Road Initiative, there has been a surge in the registration of companies in Hong Kong in recent years, highlighting Hong Kong's important role in the Belt and Road Initiative and attracting a large number of entrepreneurs. The proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative has also built a solid bridge for cooperation between the two regions.
