U.S. immigration focuses on life in the United States: According to a report from the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on June 23, President Obama's 'Fast Track' trade bill has overcome procedural hurdles in the Senate; just two weeks ago, the bill seemed unlikely to succeed. This fast track legislation makes it easier for the President of the United States to negotiate trade agreements.

Supporters of the bill state that it plays a key role in the success of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
On the 23rd, the Senate voted 60 in favor and 37 against, just meeting the minimum requirement of 60 votes to allow the bill to pass the procedural hurdle and advance to a second vote.
Reports indicate that the bill is expected to pass the final Senate vote on the 24th. Although this agreement is supported by President Obama, many Democratic members of his own party have expressed opposition.
Previously, the House of Representatives passed this bill by a narrow margin of 10 votes.
