The boy's name is Jose Vergara, and he started creating these works in November, using only colored pencils and ballpoint pens. He spends 20 hours a day drawing each eye without interruption. Vergara stated that initially, he drew his mother's eyes as a gift for her, and later he drew his father's eyes as a gift for him as well. The details of these eye portraits are vivid, with every eyelash and pore meticulously depicted. What is most astonishing is the colorful, glowing irises, reflecting the outside world within the eyes. "It takes patience and constant practice to create these realistic artworks," he emphasized, adding, "Spending time studying color mixing is also very important."
Born in Mexico City and raised in Madrid, this boy has loved drawing since childhood. An accident at the age of 8 nearly cost him one of his hands, but it only strengthened his determination to become an artist. The versatile Vergara is also skilled in graffiti, comics, and clay sculpture.
