Whether you are a U.S. immigrant or an international student, one of the first things many people do after arriving in the United States is buy a car or get a driver's license. During your time living in the U.S., how do you renew your license if it expires? In this issue of the "Immigration Guide" column, Worldway Group will use California as an example to explain the process and relevant precautions for renewing a driver's license in the United States.

In California, you must renew your driver's license in person at the DMV. The procedure is as follows:
1. Obtain a Driver License Application form (DL 44 or DL 44C) at the DMV counter and fill it out.
2. Visit the cbp.gov/I94 website to fill in the relevant information and click the "Submit" button online.
3. Print the information displayed on the screen after submission. It is recommended that readers complete this step at home; if this step is forgotten, the DMV will not accept the driver's license renewal application.
4. Wait for your number to be called for processing. The clerk will ask you to queue at another designated counter to retake your photo.
5. Before making payment, you will need to take a vision test.
6. Pay with a debit card or cash. The fee for renewing a driver's license is $33. The DMV does not accept credit card payments.
7. The clerk will issue you a "temporary driver's license" valid for 3 months. You must carry this temporary license with you when driving until you receive your official driver's license.

[Worldway Immigration Tips] With its world-class advanced educational resources and sophisticated medical insurance system, the United States has become a priority destination for Chinese investment immigration and overseas property purchases. As an important method of overseas investment, EB-5 investment immigration is increasingly sought after and favored by Chinese investors. To address the two major upcoming shifts in the U.S. EB-5 investment immigration industry and to help investors succeed before the September 30th deadline, Worldway Group is launching a major online group-buying event—the first of its kind in the 25-year history of the EB-5 industry—where "one yuan can be worth ten thousand." (The event ends on September 30th). For inquiries, please call: 400-138-2929
