Immigrating to the United States, after settling in
the United States, there are certain things you must do when experiencing life in America. Coney Island in New York is a legendary seaside amusement park. The Ferris wheel built in 1918 and the "Cyclone" roller coaster built in 1927 continue to attract visitors to this day. In June of this year, the "Thunderbolt" roller coaster officially opened, marking the first major roller coaster on Coney Island since the construction of the "Cyclone." Visitors can also enjoy circus performances and try their luck at the "Snowball" or other games. Throughout the summer, there are free fireworks displays on the boardwalk every Friday night. On Monday nights in June and August, movies are shown on a big screen on the beach.

Things not to miss: The "Food Championship" hot dog eating contest has become a tradition, held every year on June 4, and is now broadcast live on ESPN2. The annual Mermaid Parade held at the end of June attracts hundreds of "mermaids" and "mermen" who showcase their artistic talents in costumes and props as they parade down the street.
