Investment immigration to Ireland follows Irish economic news: According to survey data from the prominent Irish real estate industry website MyHome.ie, the overall average asking price for Irish property rose by 2.2% in the first quarter of 2015, with an increase of 5.7% over the past 12 months. In the capital, Dublin, property prices rose by an average of 2.5% in the first quarter and 13% over the past year. Analysts suggest that the mortgage lending restrictions introduced by the Central Bank of Ireland have only partially curbed the rapid rise in housing prices but have not led to an effective decline. The market is currently still dominated by a supply-demand imbalance, and the fundamentals for continued future growth in housing prices remain strong.
