On behalf of the provincial government, Zhao Yufang first extended a warm welcome to Deputy Prime Minister Lini and his delegation. She stated that Vanuatu is a good friend and partner of China in the Pacific Island region. Currently, the development of exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong and Vanuatu faces rare opportunities, especially with the accelerated construction of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, which brings new opportunities and business prospects for cooperation between Guangdong and Vanuatu in various fields. She expressed that on the basis of the existing good cooperation, Guangdong is willing to continue working with the Vanuatu government and friends from all walks of life to jointly explore the potential for cooperation, with a focus on expanding trade and investment between the two regions, deepening tourism exchanges, promoting pragmatic cooperation in marine fisheries, agriculture, medical and health care, cultural and educational training, and local friendship, so as to promote mutually beneficial and win-win development for both sides.
