Vanuatu Immigration views Vanuatu: The urban area of Vanuatu has many shops, half of which are mid to low-end stores, often owned by Chinese individuals selling various small goods imported from China.

A small Chinese shop, this is the owner's sister, 18 years old, a very nice girl, who gave me a phone card and batteries from her brother, haha.
A small supermarket, this supermarket has Chinese gaming consoles, but even the food in these small shops, including biscuits and instant noodles, is not from China. The people of Vanuatu are already aware of the food safety issues in China. Chinese-made food does not sell well here. Those Chinese who came to Vanuatu to do business in earlier years made a fortune; an inconspicuous small shop used to earn over a million annually. However, in recent years, as more shops opened, profits have decreased, but there is still an income of over two hundred thousand each year. There is a restaurant called Golden Harbor, owned by a person from Sichuan, who went to Vanuatu ten years ago. At that time, he had just lost money in business in Shenzhen and owed others 600,000. He worked in other restaurants for three years, then took out a bank loan to buy a piece of land and opened his own restaurant. Now, his land and property are conservatively estimated to be worth over 30 million. I am referring to Chinese Yuan here. The restaurant business is very good, with considerable profits every day.
The largest chain supermarket in Vanuatu is called "Crosswalk", and the owner is a Chinese person. I estimate this person is the leader in Vanuatu's business community. This supermarket is very large, comparable to the big supermarkets in Beijing. However, unfortunately, I cannot find a photo of this supermarket. I only have a night view of one of the smaller chain stores.
