Follow Vanuatu Immigration and Vanuatu Life: On February 14, 2014, entrusted by Ambassador Xie Bohua of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Vanuatu, Yang Xuhong, the head of the Economic and Commercial Office, specially visited Santo Island to express condolences to our medical team at the Northern Hospital in Santo Island and local Chinese enterprises.
Yang Xuhong stated that Santo Island is far from the capital, with inconvenient transportation, scarce supplies, a monotonous spiritual life, and harsh living conditions. However, our medical team members are willing to endure loneliness and selflessly dedicate themselves, undertaking the main diagnosis and treatment work at the Northern Hospital, successfully completing the foreign aid mission entrusted by the motherland. The families of the medical team members in China also provided selfless support; on this Lantern Festival, on behalf of Ambassador Xie Bohua, I wish all medical team members smooth work and good fortune in the Year of the Horse, and I extend blessings and gratitude to the families of the medical team members in China.
Yang Xuhong carefully inspected the living conditions of the medical team and the progress of the Vanuatu Palm Oil Company project, and informed the medical team and Chinese enterprises about the Ministry of Commerce's requirements for strengthening overseas safety management. He hopes everyone will enhance safety awareness, establish and improve safety regulations and emergency plans, and conduct inspections of existing safety hazards.
Our medical team members at the Northern Hospital in Santo Island expressed their gratitude for the embassy's concern, stating that they will continue to carry forward the spirit of the "Chinese Medical Team," saving lives and healing the wounded, working hard, and continuing to contribute to promoting friendship between the peoples of China and Vanuatu. The head of the Vanuatu Palm Oil Company stated that the company will overcome difficulties, increase investment, adhere to the principle of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and strive for the project's early success.
