U.S. Educational Advantages Remain Leading
But the Path for International Students to Stay in the U.S. Is Narrowing
U.S. universities maintain their advantages across all disciplines, supported by a mature research system, an open academic environment, and a long-standing emphasis on creativity, interdisciplinary studies, and critical thinking. While U.S. educational resources have long attracted students from around the world, the environment for international students to develop in the U.S. has become increasingly constrained despite the rising popularity of studying abroad.
In recent years, the U.S. has continued to tighten policies regarding visas and employment, creating new uncertainties for international students. The cost of H-1B work visas has risen significantly, and H-1B lottery selection will be weighted by wage levels, shifting from a game of luck to a competition of salary; F-1 student status is proposed to be managed under a fixed-term system; and there have been repeated signals of tightening or even canceling the OPT internship policy... These changes have made the path from "studying" to "staying" less smooth.
In other words, U.S. education remains a top-tier global resource, but if you hope for your child to not only "get in" but also "succeed and stay," relying solely on the study abroad experience is no longer a stable guarantee for the future.
More and more families are realizing that true educational planning lies not only in which university a child attends, but also in whether they can secure a status that allows for truly free development.
Therefore, many families are beginning to choose more stable channels in advance—using the U.S. EB-5 investment immigration program to lock in long-term, plannable status advantages for their children. Once status is secured, children have the same pathways as local students when applying to U.S. universities, significantly increasing their chances of entering top schools; after graduation, they can directly enter the U.S. workforce and research ecosystem, truly integrating into the social fabric and gaining broader long-term development opportunities.
Under the new EB-5 law, rural EB-5 projects are exempt from visa backlogs and benefit from priority processing; the "concurrent filing" policy allows applicants in the U.S. to file Form I-526E and Form I-485 simultaneously, enabling them to obtain a Combo card in about 3 months, quickly achieving legal residency and employment eligibility. Now is the critical window to plan for U.S. status and seize the opportunity.
Worldway has two high-quality EB-5 rural projects in hand, further helping investors achieve their U.S. status planning securely, without backlogs, and efficiently, quickly embarking on a new life in the United States. Global quotas are limited, seats are scarce, and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis!
