Follow Cyprus Immigration and Life in Cyprus: In the coastal town of Larnaca, Cyprus, there is a museum named after UEFA President Michel Platini, which is currently applying for the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of sports memorabilia.

On the 25th, the Cyprus Platini Museum announced that it has collected 21,137 items related to Platini. "The museum's video documentation will be sent to the Guinness World Records judging committee, and the museum hopes to hold the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of sports memorabilia."
It is reported that the founder of the Cyprus Platini Museum is a Cypriot named Philippos Stavrou. All the collections in the museum are his personal collection. To express his admiration for Platini, he not only renamed the museum to The Temple of Platini but also changed his name to Philippos Stavrou Platini.
Stavrou, 52, spent 200,000 euros to collect these memorabilia. Now, they are worth several million euros. However, Stavrou has never intended to sell them for profit.
Platini, who became UEFA President in 2007, had a brilliant career as a player, leading his teammates to victory time and again with his intelligence and skill, earning him the title of "The King" during his peak years with the French national team and Juventus, where he won the Ballon d'Or three times. In 2009, Platini visited the Cyprus Platini Museum.
