Focus on Canadian Investment Immigration and Canadian Economy: According to local government officials and company management, on Tuesday, a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) obtained exclusive rights to construct a proposed terminal project that will be used to export liquefied petroleum gas from the Pacific coast of Canada.

The terminal, named Aurora LNG, is one of several proposed projects for exporting surplus liquefied petroleum gas from British Columbia, which had previously not received formal approval from corporate partners. In addition to CNOOC's wholly-owned subsidiary Nexen Energy ULC, the project's partners include two Japanese companies: the oil exploration company Inpex Corporation and the construction company JGC Corporation.
British Columbia Premier Christy Clark stated at a press conference that the exclusive authorization agreement means Nexen has obtained the exclusive rights to advance the proposed Aurora LNG project located at Grass Point.
