Follow Greece Investment Immigration and Life in Greece: Photographer Penelope Koliopoulou recently disguised herself to play both roles in a couple, self-portraying a series of "couple" photos that challenge traditional perceptions of romantic relationships.

Penelope is from Greece and is currently studying Fashion and Film at the London College of Fashion. This photo series is one of her graduate projects. Through makeup, wigs, and various costumes, Penelope cleverly transforms herself into different characters, using Photoshop to humorously and slightly exaggeratedly depict the living conditions of cohabiting men and women.
The series showcases the ups and downs of romantic relationships through a sequence of stories, allowing readers to understand the reasons behind the existence of couples. Penelope says, "Actually, portraying both men and women is quite easy. I play both roles in a couple by myself to help everyone understand that a couple is essentially one entity—you are in me, and I am in you."
