Follow Cyprus immigration and Cyprus economic news: The Special Assistant to the President of Cyprus arrived in Las Vegas to explore investment intentions from five major gambling companies concerning casino resort investments. Accompanying him were the Chairman of the Cyprus Tourism Organization and senior officials from Hermes Airport attending a conference in the area.

The responses from the five gambling companies were relatively positive, but they emphasized that they would only consider investing if the entire process is transparent, legal, and open, while minimizing bureaucracy as much as possible. Additionally, the Cypriot government must adhere to the memorandum of understanding signed with the troika, so that potential investors can trust that the Cypriot economy will recover quickly.
The Special Assistant also met with relevant departments in Nevada to understand the legal framework governing casino operations, including regulations designed to minimize the social impacts of gambling.
