On the night of August 27, the Anle Border Defense Station of the Shenzhen Border Defense Detachment received a tip from the public alleging that individuals would be using a small sampan to illegally enter Hong Kong via the waters near Dachan Bay. The station immediately dispatched several officers to the area. At approximately 5:20 a.m. on August 28, after nearly six hours of laying in wait, the officers spotted a suspicious small sampan in the faint light. The vessel was riding low in the water, had no lights on, and was moving slowly in the direction of Hong Kong, raising suspicion. The officers approached the sampan and ultimately apprehended the six foreign nationals suspected of illegal entry. Currently, the case has been handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
