U.S. Immigration focuses on Life in the U.S.: According to the United Morning Post, Evan Low, the Chinese-American mayor of Campbell, California, was refused to donate blood to the Red Cross last month due to his sexual orientation. Low angrily submitted a petition online, demanding the federal government to stop discrimination and abolish unreasonable regulations.

30-year-old Evan Low and Campbell's Vice Mayor, Rich Wardman, co-hosted and participated in the Red Cross's summer blood donation event on July 31, but were politely declined due to their sexual orientation.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration prohibits gay men from donating blood permanently. Low issued a petition online, submitted to the Department of Health and Human Services, demanding an immediate end to discrimination against him and other willing gay male donors, and the repeal of this outdated regulation.
