Greece Investment Immigration Focus on Life in Greece: According to reports from the Greek "China-Greece Times," in order to better give back to and integrate into the local society, the 2nd Greek Overseas Chinese Community Christmas Charity Bazaar was grandly held at the Athens City Art Center. All proceeds will be donated to the Athens Municipal Reception Center for the Homeless.
This charity bazaar was co-hosted by eight overseas Chinese organizations in Greece, including the Hellenic Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, the Hellenic Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Hellenic Chinese Federation, the Hellenic Chinese General Federation, the Hellenic Chinese Women's Federation, the Hellenic Qingtian Association, the Hellenic Fujian Chinese Federation, and the Hellenic Chinese Tourism Association, with sponsorship and assistance from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Greece and the Athens Municipal Government.
Chen Binglei, President of the Hellenic Chinese Federation, stated that the Greek government and people are currently in a critical period of debt crisis and austerity reforms. In times of adversity, the most frightening thing is not the numerical decline, but the crisis of confidence. Overseas Chinese in Greece are willing to stand with the Greek people to regain confidence, face the future, overcome difficult times together, and jointly meet the challenges of adversity.
