Follow Hong Kong Investment Immigration and Hong Kong Life: The 3rd "Hong Kong University Student Military Life Experience Camp" has concluded successfully, with a graduation ceremony held at the San Wai Barracks of the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison.

That morning, 150 Hong Kong university students performed square formations, changed queues, demonstrated military boxing, and performed a chorus in front of the audience. The intermittent raindrops allowed the audience to witness the students' training results: discipline, endurance, and perseverance.
At the graduation ceremony, Wang Zifei from the Hong Kong Institute of Education shared her experience as a student representative. Wang said that the fifteen-day military life experience benefited her greatly. The arduous training allowed her to appreciate the hardworking spirit of the troops, and the rich lectures gave her a better understanding of the country and Hong Kong. Through participating in this military experience camp, she has become stronger and more resilient, and will not give up easily when facing difficulties in the future.
Chen Zhifeng, a student from the University of Hong Kong, said he hopes to join Hong Kong's disciplined services in the future, so he wanted to use the military life experience camp to properly experience what discipline is. He said that an instructor once said, "Discipline is like steel; whoever touches it gets hurt. Discipline is like iron; whoever touches it bleeds." These two weeks of military experience taught him to persevere and to observe discipline.
After the graduation ceremony, the students went to the canteen to enjoy their last lunch with the instructors. The usually serious instructors turned into "children's favorites" at this moment. Everyone toasted, sang loudly, and chatted with each other, filling the San Wai Barracks canteen with a strong sense of joy.
Before leaving, the students packed their bags, preparing to embark on the journey home. During these two weeks of military life experience, the students and instructors forged a deep friendship. Some students took the pillows used during the military training and asked the instructors and fellow students to sign their names on them; many more students hugged the instructors with tears in their eyes, wishing each other well.
At 1:30 PM, the buses picking up the students started their engines for the trip home. Outside the bus windows, the instructors stood straight in a row, bidding farewell to the students with military salutes; inside the bus, the students waved to the instructors from time to time, a very moving scene.
The "Hong Kong University Student Military Life Experience Camp" is jointly organized by the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison, the Hong Kong SAR Government, and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR. Since the first camp was held in 2011, this year marks the third edition. This year's camp began on August 3rd and concluded on August 17th, recruiting 150 Hong Kong university students, including 60 males and 60 females. The camp's activities included four aspects: military training, knowledge lectures, visits and observations, and cultural activities.
The Hong Kong Garrison stated that they hope that through the training and learning of this military experience camp, Hong Kong university students will gain a better understanding of the country and the military, strengthen their sense of discipline, temper their will, and exercise their bodies; at the same time, it will further enhance communication and exchange between the Hong Kong Garrison and Hong Kong citizens.
