The service interruption occurred early last night, affecting users across the country. The cause of the outage remains a mystery.

Rogers President and CEO Nadir Mohamed stated: “I acknowledge that this service disruption is unacceptable to our customers. We have carried out restoration work as quickly as possible, and service will be gradually restored throughout the evening. I sincerely apologize to all users affected by this significant inconvenience and appreciate their understanding and patience.”

Rogers and its subsidiary Fido announced that they would provide one day of free service to all prepaid wireless customers.
