The Vanuatu government generally issues a three-month valid entry permit. Upon entry, the Vanuatu Immigration Department will stamp the passport with an entry seal, referred to as a “visa on arrival.” This indicates a stay period of one month, which can be extended three times within a year, with a total stay not exceeding four months. Currently, citizens of China do not require a visa to enter Vanuatu, but due to the lack of direct flights, it is necessary to apply for a transit visa when transferring through countries such as Australia or Fiji.
