Focus on Spanish Immigration and Spanish Living Information: The Spanish government will invest 313.96 million euros in the tourism industry next year to promote its development. Specific projects include improving supply conditions and building tourist destinations, strengthening the Spanish brand, and launching new financing initiatives.

In the 2014 budget recently published by the Spanish Congress, the Spanish tourism industry must be prioritized due to its global leadership position, its irreplaceable role in economic development, its market-oriented approach, and the initial signs of economic recovery.
The government has launched the National Comprehensive Tourism Plan (PNIT), which outlines a set of measures to be taken between 2012 and 2015 to enhance the competitiveness of tourism enterprises and destinations, laying a new foundation for Spain's global leadership in tourism for the coming decades, and contributing to wealth creation, employment, and citizen welfare. The plan mainly involves six areas: the influence of the Spanish tourism brand, customer orientation, discounts and tourist destinations, public and private tourism enterprises, knowledge and talent, and entrepreneurship.
In these areas, the comprehensive nature of the Spanish tourism brand will be strengthened through the National Tourism Department and diplomatic missions. The government will continue the construction of hotels, open more tourist destinations, enhance the construction and maintenance of infrastructure at tourist destinations, and provide support in terms of finance and credit limits.
