Hong Kong Immigration focus on Hong Kong Life news: On September 22, the Hong Kong Airlines WeChat official account officially launched the “WeChat Pay” feature! Currently, after booking flight tickets via the Hong Kong Airlines WeChat official account (WeChat ID: hkairlines), users can easily complete payments using the WeChat Pay feature! According to reports, to promote this new feature, Hong Kong Airlines will also launch an event to win free flight tickets by using WeChat Pay. The scale of the promotion is significant and highly anticipated!

As the first airline to integrate WeChat Pay, Hong Kong Airlines' attempt to adopt “WeChat Pay” resonates with its long-standing brand spirit of “Fresh + Very Hong Kong.” By integrating the trendy “WeChat Pay” feature into the online ticket purchasing process, it is believed that the airline will provide a more convenient and innovative consumption experience for young users who are willing to try new things. Meanwhile, its WeChat official account has also introduced convenient services such as “Mobile Check-in,” allowing passengers to easily handle ticketing and travel procedures via their mobile phones, saving considerable time for busy white-collar professionals!
Using WeChat Pay is simple. Users only need to link a bank card to WeChat and complete identity verification to turn their smartphone equipped with the WeChat app into an all-purpose wallet, which can then be used for purchases. When paying, users simply enter a password on their phone, eliminating the need to swipe a card, making the entire process simple and seamless. Currently, WeChat has opened interfaces for most major banks, including the Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, and China Merchants Bank, with other banks continuously being added.
In the first phase, WeChat Pay will primarily support flight tickets originating from domestic cities to Hong Kong; subsequently, flight tickets originating from international cities will also be eligible for WeChat Pay.
