Immigrate to Canada to learn about Canadian education: Canada does not have a unified national university entrance examination. University admission is primarily based on high school academic performance. Students who have passed their subjects with scores of 65-70 or higher are generally eligible for admission. Due to differences in the education systems of various provinces, admission requirements also vary. The vast majority of provinces follow a 12-year continuous education system, where students can enter university upon graduating from 12th grade. Two provinces are exceptions: students in Ontario must complete 13 years of schooling before entering university; in Quebec, the primary and secondary education system lasts 11 years, and students must complete a two-year preparatory program after graduating from secondary school before they can enter university. Specific admission requirements vary from institution to institution.

Generally speaking, students from China who wish to apply for studies in Canada must provide a graduation certificate equivalent to a Canadian secondary school or university diploma, submit a financial guarantee proving they have sufficient economic capacity to cover tuition and living expenses, and demonstrate their language proficiency. Canadian universities accept scores from the TOEFL, the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB), or the Cambridge English Language Assessment.
