Immigrate to Cyprus to learn about the history of Cyprus: After watching the movie "The Star-Crossed Journey", many of you must be familiar with the term "Lazarus". So who exactly is Lazarus? Where did he go after being resurrected by Jesus? The Bible records: "Lazarus is a character mentioned in the Gospel of John in the Bible. He died before Jesus could heal him, but Jesus declared that he would be resurrected, and indeed, four days later, Lazarus walked out of the cave, proving Jesus' miracle."

Outside of the Bible, it is said that Lazarus, who was resurrected by Christ in Israel, later came to Cyprus, where he served as a bishop for over 30 years before dying here. His remains are buried in the Church of Saint Lazarus. His underground tomb is remarkably well-preserved, and visitors can descend the stairs to view it. The stone coffin bears the Greek inscription "Lazarus, friend of Christ." The Church of Saint Lazarus is located in the center of Larnaca and is regarded as one of the most precious cultural heritages of Larnaca and Cyprus. The church houses many valuable religious images, among which the 17th-century depiction of the Ascension of Saint Lazarus is the most precious.
