Investment Immigration to Vanuatu follows Vanuatu news: On December 17, 2014, Ambassador of Vanuatu, Xie Bohua, met with the Speaker of the Vanuatu Parliament, Boydororo. Ambassador Xie briefed Speaker Boydororo on the meeting held in Nadi, Fiji, in November between Chinese leaders and leaders of Pacific Island countries that have diplomatic relations with China, indicating that this was the second meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Natuman within the year, reflecting the high importance that China places on developing relations with Vanuatu. During the meeting in Nadi, President Xi also held a collective meeting with leaders from eight Pacific Island countries, establishing a "strategic partnership of mutual respect and common development," which points the way for the future development of relations between China and the Pacific Island region. Speaker Boydororo stated that the meeting between President Xi and the leaders of the Pacific Island region is historic. As a member of the region, Vanuatu fully agrees with China's positioning of the bilateral relationship and the initiatives for future development. The Vanuatu Parliament will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with relevant institutions such as the National People's Congress of China, firmly uphold the One China policy, and promote greater development of bilateral relations.
