Follow Spain Investment Immigration and follow Spain News Express: September 26 News - A Madrid Metro maintenance worker discovered a two-million-dollar check while inspecting a subway carriage. The maintenance worker turned the check over to the Metro security department.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Around 18:00, when a Line 5 train arrived at DIEGO DE LEON, the system detected that one of the doors could not close properly. The Metro requested all passengers to disembark and sent the train to the CANILLEJAS maintenance depot for inspection.
Maintenance staff inspected all the doors of the train one by one. While checking one of the doors, they found a brown wallet stuck in the door groove. It was this wallet that blocked the closing space of the subway door, causing the malfunction.
The maintenance worker used a tool to remove the wallet and discovered inside a California driver's license, the American's ID card, several credit cards, and a signed check for $2 million.
Following this significant discovery, the maintenance worker contacted the Metro security department, and the Metro company handed the wallet over to the police for processing.
