Spain Immigration focus on Spain News: A 52-year-old Italian man working as a navigator for water sports competitions in Spain has been arrested by the Civil Guard on suspicion of using racing boats to traffic drugs.

According to reports, Italian police issued a "European Arrest Warrant" for him, with charges including membership in a criminal organization and drug trafficking.

Police stated that he used his experience in operating high-end powerboats to help drug traffickers transport narcotics quickly. Authorities believe he is a member of a drug trafficking organization.

It is understood that the navigator had been living in Murcia for some time, and at the time of his arrest, police discovered he was using a fake passport. He is currently being held in detention, awaiting extradition to Italy.
