Immigrate to St. Kitts and see life in St. Kitts: As the date of the St. Kitts Music Festival approaches, the first batch of confirmed performing artists has also been announced.

“We have important contracts to sign with some artists, so we are announcing the artists who have signed up to this point,” producer Adrian Lamb said at a press conference on Thursday morning.
The organizers acknowledge that the St. Kitts Music Festival still faces challenges such as rising travel costs and high performance and production fees, but they believe that this summer event, which has been held for 19 years, can “live up to expectations and perform exceptionally well.”
The festival costs 100 East Caribbean dollars per night (translator's note: the current exchange rate is 229.47 Chinese yuan), and the organizers point out that this is still the lowest cost for such events locally.
Tourism Minister Lindsay Grant stated that they have intentionally taken measures to ensure ticket prices remain stable.
“The concept of the St. Kitts Music Festival is to bring people together, which is also one of the main driving forces behind the festival,” Minister Grant said.
Chairman Ferlyn Lawrence (translator's note: Chairman of the Management Committee) stated that the government has allocated a subsidy of 2 million dollars for the festival. The total cost of the festival is approximately 2.5 million dollars (including performance and production costs), of which about 600,000 dollars comes from external sponsorship.
“It creates an excellent business environment. This is a grand event, and thousands of people on the island need a place to enjoy food, leisure, and entertainment. The festival precisely creates this environment, and private enterprises should take full advantage of this business environment,” Mr. Lawrence stated on Thursday.
The 2015 St. Kitts Music Festival is scheduled for June 25-27.
