Immigrate to Ireland and enjoy life in Ireland: According to the Conference Board of Canada and the University of Guelph's Food Institute, in a food safety ranking of 17 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries, Canada's food safety system was ranked as the best in the world, tied for first place with Ireland on the list.

The report adopts a comparative research method, comparing Canada's performance in food safety with 16 other OECD member countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Similar reports were also released in 2008 and 2010, in which Canada ranked 5th and 4th, respectively.
The overall ranking score is determined based on 10 indicators across three major categories: assessment, management, and communication, such as the incidence of foodborne illnesses, food recalls, and dietary consumption studies. The leading rankings of Canada and Ireland highlight their success in multiple areas, such as their ability to respond to food safety emergencies and their communication with stakeholders and the public regarding food safety issues. The report also found that Canada and Ireland have the highest levels of food safety credibility.
