Follow U.S. immigration and life in the U.S.: According to a recent study published by Harris Interactive, American vehicle owners believe that government subsidies for electric vehicles are disproportionately higher than those for clean diesel vehicles.

A poll conducted by Harris Interactive in September of this year indicated that 66% of drivers in the U.S. believe that the government should provide tax benefits for clean diesel vehicles. Among those aged 18 to 34, 59% said they would be more inclined to purchase a diesel vehicle if the price of clean diesel were on par with regular gasoline.
This study was sponsored by Audi of America, which is a major manufacturer of diesel vehicles in the luxury car market in the U.S., providing TDI high-performance diesel engines for models such as the 2014 Audi A8L, Audi A7, Audi A6, Audi Q7, and Audi Q5.
Audi of America President Scott Keogh stated that diesel vehicles have advantages over electric vehicles, as they do not require a change in driving habits, do not involve charging batteries, and alleviate concerns about battery performance in winter conditions. Therefore, if the government offers incentives, the market share of diesel vehicles will significantly increase.
