A lawyer from the Trump administration read a statement in the federal court in Oakland, California, stating that ICE is manually restoring the legal status of some international students whose status was recently terminated. On the same day, in another case being heard in the capital, Washington, D.C., a government attorney also read the same statement.
The statement indicated that ICE is developing a policy to provide a framework for the termination records in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Until the relevant policy is released, the records of individuals whose legal status has been terminated in SEVIS will remain valid, and ICE will not modify the records in the system solely based on investigations by the National Crime Information Center.
According to previous reports from U.S. media, some international students recently had their records in SEVIS suddenly deleted, resulting in the loss of legal status or visa revocation, putting them at risk of deportation. Judges in various U.S. locations have issued temporary orders in dozens of related lawsuits to temporarily restore these students' records in SEVIS.
For families planning to achieve long-term residency in the United States through study abroad, the stability of the policy environment is one of the core considerations, prompting parents to take a longer-term view and comprehensively assess the impact of the study destination on the overall family planning.
Overall, during the Trump era, U.S. visa policies have tightened again, making the path to staying in the United States increasingly difficult. Studying abroad feels more like walking a tightrope. It is challenging to stay in the U.S., find a job after graduation is difficult, and the H-1B lottery is harder than winning the lottery! Therefore, for many families planning to send their children to study in the U.S., they should consider a more long-term solution: applying for a green card in advance to gain more flexibility and security. In other words, a green card is the key!
In the context of increasingly complex U.S. study abroad and immigration policies, the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, with its unique advantages, provides a reliable pathway for those eager to obtain U.S. status and enjoy high-quality education, living resources, and business opportunities in the United States.
Currently, rural projects in the EB-5 reserved visa channel are among the preferred options for quickly obtaining a U.S. green card. The EB-5 rural projects combine advantages such as no waiting period, ample quotas, priority processing, and dual submission. Investors can invest $800,000 and simultaneously submit I-526E and I-485 applications, receiving a Combo Card in about three months. During the waiting period for the green card, it does not affect entry and exit, allowing legal residence, study, and work in the United States. Interested investors should submit their applications as soon as possible to lock in their priority date and realize their dream of immigrating to the United States sooner.
Currently, the popular EB-5 project on the market - "Aspen Kodiak Apartments," has received approvals for both I-956F and I-526E cases. This project is a high-quality EB-5 rural project that has undergone rigorous screening and strict quality control by the WorldWay Immigration Group, making it undoubtedly an excellent choice for your quick immigration to the United States.
