The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in China have issued an announcement:
Starting in the summer of 2025, the Westgate Mall located at 1038 West Nanjing Road will undergo renovations, which will impact the ability of the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai to provide routine consular services to the public. Due to these renovations, appointments for U.S. citizen services and visa applicants will be limited. All U.S. visa applicants and U.S. citizen service clients are advised to prepare for delays and potential service disruptions beginning in the summer of 2025.
U.S. citizens and non-immigrant visa applicants may consider scheduling appointments for routine services (such as U.S. passport renewals or U.S. visa interviews) at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing or the U.S. Consulates General in Guangzhou, Shenyang, and Wuhan.
This change has disrupted the standard visa processing schedule, and the plans of many applicants may be affected. If you have previously submitted an application at the Consulate General in Shanghai, it is recommended that you closely monitor the official website of the U.S. Embassy and the appointment system for the latest updates so that you can adjust your subsequent arrangements in a timely manner. For applicants who have not yet submitted an application, you may prioritize choosing other consulates based on your own circumstances to save time and ensure your travel to the United States proceeds smoothly.
Visa appointment cycles and processing times vary across different consulates. It is recommended that everyone plan ahead and arrange their time reasonably.
As a traditional major destination for immigration, the United States has long been an ideal destination for many due to its advanced medical technology, sound social welfare, superior natural environment, and top-tier education. The U.S. Green Card is a highly valuable identity card globally: it provides access to benefits stipulated by the U.S. government, high-quality and thoughtful medical services, first-class education for children in public schools, and the convenience of global travel.
The U.S. EB-5 Investment Immigration Program has always been an effective pathway to quickly obtain a U.S. Green Card. The application requirements are flexible, with no restrictions on age, education, language, business background, or work experience. With an investment starting from $800,000, an entire family can immigrate to the United States, live and work anywhere in the country, children can enjoy free public education (K-12), and spouses and unmarried children under 21 can immigrate together.
Under the new act, investing in the EB-5 rural project category under the EB-5 reserved visa category is exempt from visa backlogs and grants priority processing rights by the USCIS. At the same time, EB-5 applicants already in the United States, including international students, can perform "concurrent filing" in the U.S. This means that applicants without a backlog can simultaneously submit their I-526E immigrant petition and I-485 adjustment of status application. They can also apply for travel authorization (I-131) and work authorization (I-765) to legally reside, study, and work in the United States, enjoying quasi-Green Card freedom in advance and quickly resolving the issue of legal status in the U.S. Interested investors should start as soon as possible, select high-quality projects, and apply early to lock in their priority date and seize the current valuable window of opportunity with no backlog.
Now is an excellent time to immigrate to the United States. From April 1, 2025, to April 30, 2025, Worldway is launching a limited-time special promotion. Significant discounts are available for selected projects, including U.S. EB-5 immigration and EB-1A & NIW immigration. Promotional spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested parties should act quickly and not miss this opportunity.
