In today's world, immigration has become an increasingly popular choice for many seeking a new life, and the United States, as a favored destination for immigrants, has captured the attention of countless individuals. Among them, many share a common dream—to become a U.S. citizen and embark on a new chapter in life. The U.S. citizenship naturalization test is one of the key steps to becoming a U.S. citizen, consisting of an English language assessment and a civics knowledge test, with some individuals eligible for exemptions.
English Language Assessment
* Speaking: During the naturalization interview, USCIS officials will assess the applicant's English speaking ability.
* Reading: Applicants must correctly read one out of three sentences.
* Writing: Applicants must correctly write one out of three sentences.
Civics Knowledge Test
Applicants must answer 10 questions about U.S. government, history, and civic responsibilities, correctly answering 6 of them to pass. These 10 questions are selected from a list of 100 possible civics questions. Applicants will not be informed in advance which questions will be selected, but they can review and study these 100 questions before taking the test.
Exemption Eligibility
Certain applicants may be exempt from part or all of the testing requirements, depending on their age, length of residency, and health conditions:
1. Age and Residency Exemptions
* Applicants who are 50 years old or older and have been lawfully residing in the U.S. for 20 years are exempt from the English test but must take the civics knowledge test in their native language (known as the "50/20 exemption").
* Applicants who are 55 years old or older and have been lawfully residing in the U.S. for 15 years are also exempt from the English test but must take the civics knowledge test in their native language (known as the "55/15 exemption").
* Applicants who are 65 years old or older and have been lawfully residing in the U.S. for 20 years may take a simplified version of the civics knowledge test in their native language (only needing to study 20 questions instead of 100, known as the "65/20 exemption").
2. Health Exemptions
Applicants with long-term physical or mental health issues may apply for exemptions from the English test and civics knowledge test by submitting Form N-648 (Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions) to USCIS.
As one of the most developed countries in the world, the United States boasts a strong economic foundation, powerful technological capabilities, top-notch educational resources, and advanced healthcare, making it a favored destination for countless immigrants globally. Immigration has two key elements—timing and choice. For investors with a strong need to immigrate to the U.S., it is crucial to seize the opportunity. The rural projects within the EB-5 reserved visa pathway are currently among the preferred options for rapid immigration to the U.S. It is advisable to act sooner rather than later, as no one can predict how many investors will flood into this pathway. Submitting applications early increases the chance of obtaining a green card.
Immigrating to the U.S. through the EB-5 investment immigration route requires selecting the right professional immigration agency and the right project! WorldWay Immigration, as one of the earliest institutions promoting U.S. EB-5 investment immigration in China, has 18 years of professional experience in handling U.S. investment immigration. It was one of the first in the EB-5 industry to propose the concept of "selected projects," carefully choosing projects, providing professional services to clients, conducting thorough reviews of projects, and frequently conducting on-site inspections to ensure investors' peace of mind. Currently, the three most popular EB-5 projects on the market, exclusively represented by WorldWay Immigration in the Greater China region, include the "University Town Hilton Hotel" (I-956F approved) and the "Florida Lakeside Jewish Community" EB-5 project (I-956F approved & I-526E approved), as well as the "Hawaii Grand Resort Hotel" EB-5 project, developed in collaboration with capital giants, all of which are high-quality rural EB-5 projects carefully selected and rigorously vetted by WorldWay Immigration.
These three premium EB-5 projects comply with the new legislation for rural TEA projects, not only enjoying reserved EB-5 visa quotas but also receiving priority processing from the immigration bureau. They offer numerous advantages, including exemption from waiting periods, priority approval, and first-position collateral for EB-5 funds, with investments starting at $800,000. One application allows the entire family to quickly obtain green cards, with limited quotas available, so prompt action is advised.
