According to the latest news from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Malta: The Director of Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Malta has issued an administrative order announcing the cancellation of special pandemic prevention requirements for travelers from mainland China starting from February 27.
As of February 27, 2023, airlines will no longer require proof of a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours or a negative nucleic acid test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in Malta for travelers departing from my country.
Malta, as the heart of the Mediterranean, has always been a strategic hub and trade transit country connecting Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is also a member of the European Union, Schengen Area, Eurozone, and the Commonwealth. In recent years, Malta's permanent residency status has been highly favored by investors, and Malta is also a popular tourist destination for people worldwide.
Recently, Malta has once again been selected as one of the "Best Leisure Vacation Destinations" by the globally renowned travel guide Lonely Planet. Lonely Planet stated: "For decades, Malta has been loved by European tourists," adding, "With its prehistoric temples, wonderful diving experiences, and the allure of the bustling capital Valletta, it is attracting more visitors from around the world."
At the same time, Malta is one of the better-performing economies in the Eurozone, known as the "European Financial Center." Malta has experienced rapid economic growth in recent years, with GDP growth consistently leading European countries. The international rating agency Fitch Ratings has rated Malta as "A+" with a stable outlook. This means that Malta has a robust economy, optimistic development prospects, a sound financial system, high safety factors, and good government credit.
Recently, immigration policies in various European countries have undergone changes. Starting from February 15, 2023, the Irish investment immigration program has been shut down; on February 16, 2023, the Prime Minister of Portugal announced the end of the Golden Residence Permit program; it is reported that Spanish political parties have also proposed to close the property investment immigration program; starting from May 1, 2023, the investment amount for the Greek property immigration program will increase to 500,000 euros, etc. Additionally, the European Union is likely to ultimately stop the Golden Passport program before 2025.
It can be said that the door to Europe is becoming increasingly narrow. For investors wishing to immigrate to Europe, Malta is currently a good choice. Applicants only need to invest from 60,000 euros to immigrate to Malta for four generations of their family, obtaining permanent residency status in Malta in one step! This program has no requirements for language, education, business background, or source of funds, making the application conditions simpler, the process easier, and the investment amount lower!
